Deb uses thought-provoking questions and straightforward, practical advice to provide clarity in challenging situations. Deb volunteered an hour of her time to visit a group of young state government employees who were eager to develop their potential but frustrated by a perceived lack of power in their organization. In that brief meeting, Deb drew out our complaints, helped us to articulate underlying issues, and provided concrete suggestions for how to manage difficult situations. Her no-nonsense style was appreciated by the entire group. Deb's advice, even in such a brief meeting, was a much-needed reminder of how to work around adversity.
